Where to get particular Guatemalan cheese? or how to make?
A couple of years ago, our cleaning lady went back to Guatemala for a couple of weeks and came back bearing gifts of homemade tortillas and cheese. I am totally craving that cheese now but as we don't employ her any longer, I am embarred to call her just to ask about cheese. She called it campesino but my Colombian husband says that's just a generic way to refer to cheese. It was in a little tupperware, and was very creamy - like er - and we spread it on the tortillas. It was white, and salty, and not strong tasting. I don't know what animal's milk it was made from. Does anyone know what this is and where I can get more??
