Can you sue someone for loss of resale value on a car involved in a collision?

Ok let's say someone crashes into you and causes major damage to your car, but it's repairable. Besides suing the person for damage to your vehicle, can you also sue them for any loss of resale value to the car? A car that has been involved in a bad collision and been repaired will always be worth less when it comes time to trade it in. If so, how would this estimate be determined, and by whom?
